Description[]
Baikuda are fierce fish-like predators of the reef and will try to eat anything that can drift into their mouths, except for Baish and Surtle. The preferred prey of choice for Baikuda that live close to shore is Keluppy, and they hold a fierce rivalry against Kellark.
Some Baikuda are pelagic hunters and will cruise the open seas alone or in small groups of up to 5 individuals. These Baikuda will eat aquatic species from all over the lands ranging from Feefish to Aquafox. Even unlucky Honuiki have been found in a Baikuda's belly.
A strange trait of Baikuda is its desire to digest only cooked meat. These monsters will swallow creatures whole then heat their bodies to incredible temperatures to cook their prey before digestion. When threatened Baikuda also have the ability to boil the water around them to fend off would-be attackers and tamers.
