Description[]
Flakle are small snowflake like monsters that dwell on Exile Island and in areas of snow. They are white and generally spherical in appearance, with blue speckles that coat their bodies. They have a medium-length curvy tail.
Flakle are water based creatures that have adapted to both tropical and winter conditions. They were originally discovered on Exile island gathering in large numbers along the coastline and playing in the surf, but genetic evidence reveals that they are recent decedents of the Flakle found in the Snow Plains. It is believed that the original Flakle brought to Exile Island belonged to a captive Dark Tamer.
These monsters enjoy licking the dew off of plants, and in the colder regions they will also munch on icicles hanging from the tree branches. Their watery bodies have a special anti-freeze to keep them from freezing when they sleep. When Flakles die of old age however, the anti-freeze in their bodies reverse and instead cause the Flakle to freeze and never thaw. These frozen Flakle bodies are collected and sold as snowballs that never melt.
Active Flakle poaching by Light Tamers has wiped out the wild Flakle population in the Ski Slopes and White Summit regions.
